Inge McPherson, principal physiotherapist for Physio4me physiotherapy in Emerald.

INGE McPHERSON

Hi, I’m Inge, the Principal Physiotherapist and clinic owner at Physio4me.
As my clinic name suggests, I’m passionate about really connecting with my clients, as it enables me to assist them in achieving their individual goals, no matter how big or small.

A LITTLE BACKGROUND

Born and raised in South Africa, I have always possessed a strong interest in the human body and how it works. I graduated from AUT University in Auckland, New Zealand in 2007. Since then, I have worked throughout New Zealand and Queensland, providing local, evidence-based care for regional and rural communities, and have recently relocated to Wollongong.

I have 16 years of experience in Physiotherapy working with women of all ages and backgrounds, sparking an interest in the speciality area of women’s health. Giving birth to three beautiful daughters in 2013, 2015 and 2019 gave me a new appreciation for the complexity of women’s bodies. The experience and the recovery have engrained an invaluable empathy within me for my clients and have further fuelled my passion for pelvic floor physiotherapy.

I have advanced training in

  • pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation,
  • prolapse and pessary care,
  • incontinence care,
  • ante and post-natal health and
  • women’s health through exercise.

My passion is for providing therapeutic care to empower women.

I am excited to share my knowledge and skill set with clients in a friendly and welcoming environment, working with like-minded healthcare practitioners.
